Smart necklace to help people quit smoking made

Northwestern Medicine researchers have developed a smart neck-worn device that detects users' smoking patterns to help them quit smoking. It does so by capturing heat signatures from thermal sensors. Called 'SmokeMon', it can detect the user's smoking topography, including things like the timing of a puff, number of puffs, puff duration, puff volume, inter-puff interval and smoking duration.
