Govt warns against fraudulent shortened URLs sent via SMS WhatsApp

The government has asked citizens to be cautious while opening any shortened URL sent over WhatsApp or SMS. "Cyber fraudsters use such methods to mask phishing websites and Android malware," the government-run Cyber Dost Twitter handle said. Screenshots shared by Cyber Dost showed fraudulent URLs sent via texts masked as notices from the State Bank of India (SBI).
