Congress wins Karnataka Assembly polls with 135 seats BJP bags 66

The Congress won the Karnataka Assembly election by securing 135 seats in the 224-member House on Saturday. The party has this time won 55 more seats than in 2018 and has a vote share of 42.9%. The ruling BJP managed to win 66 seats, while the Janata Dal (Secular) secured 19 seats and two seats went to independent candidates.
