BMTC to hike rates for school bus services by 5 per km from Sept 1

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will be increasing the prices of chartered services it provides to educational institutions and others by ₹5 per km from September 1. According to a senior BMTC official, the hike was unavoidable due to rise in fuel prices and other expenses. At present, there are 243 buses deployed to 47 educational institutions across Bengaluru.
