Govt approves hike in wages of Coal India nonexecutive employees

The government has approved a wage revision agreement that was reached in May with trade unions for non-executive employees of Coal India Limited (CIL). The agreement provides for a 19% of minimum guaranteed benefit on emoluments and a 25% increase in allowances. It will benefit employees who were on the rolls of the company as on July 1, 2021.
