RBI lowers FY24 retail inflation forecast from 5.2 to 5.1

RBI's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has lowered its retail inflation forecast for FY24 from 5.2% to 5.1%, Governor Shaktikanta Das said on Thursday. MPC has also lowered retail inflation projections for Q1 and Q2 of FY24 from 5.1% to 4.6% and from 5.4% to 5.2% respectively. MPC's retail inflation projections for Q3 and Q4 remain unchanged.
