32 extensions removed from Chrome Web Store to reduce spam ads

Google has removed 32 malicious extensions from Chrome Web Store to reduce spam and unwanted ads. According to BleepingComputer, the extensions included legitimate functionality to keep users unaware of the malicious behaviour, which was delivered in code. Cybersecurity researcher Wladimir Palant, while analysing the PDF Toolbox extension, found code that was disguised as a legitimate API wrapper.
